What we do with your details

Written to be read rather than to cover ourselves. If anything here is unclear, ask and it will be rewritten.

The short version

AMPHY collects one thing: the details you choose to enter in the interest form. They are used to gauge whether there is enough demand to build the venue, and to let you know how it progresses. Only the total number of interested people is ever made public.

Nothing is sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing. You can ask for your record to be deleted at any time and it will be.

What we collect

When you register interest, the form asks for the following. Only name, email, age bracket, games, visit frequency and preferred times are required — everything else is optional and can be left blank.

  • Your name and email address
  • Your age bracket (a range, never a date of birth)
  • The games you play and how often you might visit
  • The times of day and week that suit you
  • Optionally: your postcode, which of the interest options apply to you, and any written feedback
  • Which button on the site you used, so we know which pages persuade people

What is made public

The counter shown on this site is a single number: how many people have registered. That is the only figure published.

Your name, email address, age, postcode, answers and feedback are never displayed publicly, never included in any published summary, and never attached to a quote or a screenshot without asking you first.

How it is stored

Registrations are stored in a hosted Postgres database with access limited to the people running the AMPHY project. Your email address is stored so that submitting twice does not count you twice — that is its only other purpose.

Data is kept while the project is active. If AMPHY does not go ahead, the register is deleted rather than kept indefinitely or passed to anyone else.

Under 18s

The interest form is open to younger players because they are a large part of who this venue is for, and it asks for an age bracket rather than a date of birth. It collects no more from a 14-year-old than from a 40-year-old.

If you are a parent or guardian and would rather your child was not on the list, email us and it will be removed immediately, no questions asked.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which pages people actually read. It does not use cookies for tracking, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other sites.

Removing your details

Email coreykemn@gmail.com from the address you registered with, and your record will be deleted. You do not have to give a reason, and it will not affect anything else.

You can also ask for a copy of what is held about you, and it will be sent to you.

Changes

If AMPHY becomes a real venue, this policy will need to grow to cover accounts, bookings and payments. Anyone on the interest register will be told before that happens rather than finding out afterwards.
